Things to remember . . .

¨ Grub for you — everyone is on their own for meals and “quick and easy” is usually the theme, but for those of you who get the urge to cook . . . Stop it!!

¨ Grub for your horse —there is space for portable horse fence and tie lines if you’ve got em’, otherwise, plan to tie and feed at your trailer.

¨ Water buckets —we will provide a tank and hose, but may want to haul H2O back to your trailer.

¨ Breast collar and shoes (for your horse that is) are a good idea, not by no means a necessity.

¨ Drinking water for yourself.

¨ Porta-Potties will be available (just in case you were wondering about that),

¨ Sunscreen and bug juice — it’s still South Dakota ya know.

¨ Showers will not be available, so we suggest you throw in the deodorant.

¨ Beverages  - pick your poison and toss it in a cooler!

¨ We know you love your dog and he travels with you all the time, but we ask you leave him home just this once—thanks!

¨ Hobbles, saddlebags and canteens can come in handy if you’ve got em’.

¨ Since we are each on our own for lodging arrangements (i.e. tent, horse trailer, camper, etc.), be sure to bring our sleeping bags, pillows, air mattress, lanterns, flashlights, etc.

¨ A cell phone is nice in case of an emergency, but a signal can be a “hit and miss” at times.

¨ Camera  - scenery is good and wildlife is plentiful.

¨ Cash $$  - enough to cover the ride’s fee of $35 and the fuel for your “gas guzzling trailer puller”.  (Note:  we will be about 20 miles from a gas station while at the ranch)

¨ For everyone’s safety, if you ride something studdy, in heat, trends to kick or just has a bad attitude, be sure to tie a red ribbon on its tail.

¨ If conditions are dry, we ask that there be no individual open fires (contained grills are ok) and no smoking will be allowed on the ride.

¨ For the health and well-being of your trusty steed and mine, and those that take residence at the Ranch, we ask that everyone vaccinate your animals prior to the trip.
